For a coastal resort, the setting is part of the experience the architecture has to deliver. Tomis Villa Grand Resort is located in Mamaia, between the Black Sea and Lake Siutghiol. Render Atelier was commissioned to create billboard-quality architectural renderings and a short 3D walkthrough animation presenting the development, its pool courtyards, balconies, apartments, duplex units, and coastal views.

What We Built

Render Atelier produced a visualization package for Tomis Villa Grand Resort, combining high-resolution still imagery with a short walkthrough animation. The brief required the resort to be communicated at several scales, from the overall architecture to moments shaping the guest and resident experience.

The exterior renderings focused on the relationship between the buildings, landscaped courtyards, pool areas, balconies, and coastal setting. Palm-lined outdoor spaces and water features helped define the development, while the beach context established where the resort belonged. Balcony views were equally important. Apartments and duplex units needed to feel connected to the landscape beyond the buildings, with the Black Sea and Lake Siutghiol contributing to the sense of openness and destination living. Camera positions were selected to show both the architecture and the value of the surrounding views. The still images were developed at a level of detail suitable for billboard-scale presentation. Every composition had to remain convincing when viewed large, from façades and landscaping to poolside materials, vegetation, lighting, and people.

The walkthrough animation added movement to the presentation. It showed how the buildings, courtyards, balconies, pools, and surrounding setting related to one another as one resort environment. Together, the stills and animation gave the client a way to communicate the project before the completed development could be experienced in person.

Render Atelier Services on this Project

3D Exterior Visualizations

For Tomis Villa Grand Resort, the exterior renderings presented the architecture within its coastal and landscape context. The buildings, pool courtyards, palm trees, balconies, beach views, and outdoor areas were developed as parts of the same visual environment. The high-resolution imagery allowed the resort to be presented in large-format marketing while retaining detail, atmosphere, and a consistent sense of place.

3D Walkthrough Animation

The walkthrough animation showed how the development connected spatially. Movement through the resort revealed the relationship between buildings, courtyards, pool areas, balconies, and surrounding views in a way individual stills could not. The final sequence gave the project team a continuous presentation of the resort, from wider architectural views to spaces experienced at ground and balcony level.

FAQs

How do you visualize a resort where views are a major selling point?

We treat the landscape and view as part of the architecture. Camera placement, building orientation, balconies, glazing, lighting, and atmosphere are coordinated so the setting supports the experience shown in each image.

Still images provide controlled, detailed compositions suitable for marketing and large-format presentation. Animation shows movement, sequence, and the relationship between spaces across the wider development.

Yes. A detailed 3D environment can make spatial relationships, materials, landscaping, and views easier to evaluate. This can help project teams identify questions or inconsistencies before they become harder to address.

We typically need architectural drawings or models, site and landscape information, material references, and a clear idea of the required views and sequences. From there, we can define the detail level, deliverables, and production scope.

Working on a resort where the setting is part of the experience?

We create architectural imagery and animation that connect the buildings, outdoor spaces, and views into one clear presentation.
